UN is short for UNknown originally. UN was changed to UN Tha Rhyme Hustla in 2000. Un The Rhyme Hustla has been a mainstay in the NW hip hop scene for a long time and he’s still going strong. There’s no way I could cover everything he’s done so I’ll give you just a little taste of it here. Just to summarize his career up until now here’s a little “resume” from Un The Rhyme Hustla on the Bandlab website (edited for better flow). 1988: started his career, 1989/90: his first studio recording, 1991: his first rap battle, 1992: 98 underground singles and freestyle champ undefeated from 91-98, 1998-2005: 15 underground singles, 2005-2009: Un quits music, 2012: his comeback and first commercial release “Tattooed Tears“, 2012: Un sets record for attendance at record release party, wins Beat of NW and is interviewed on the radio by Sir Mix-A-Lot, 2014: he signs with Itchy Metal, the same year the label shuts down, 2018: he signs to Es Way, 2019: he starts new genre with moniker M.Shaun.

As far as I can tell Tattooed Tears is his only album, but there are plenty of singles and features. Here’s just a few features (because there are a TON) with other NW artists that Un has done after his Tattooed Tears release:

Mike “G” & M.A.R. – Get Ya Own [Feat. Un The Rhyme Hustla]

Suede & Eddy K – Dr. Henry Jones ft. UN the Rhyme Hustla

Suede & Eddy K – Gone Madden ft. Mic Phenom & UN the Rhyme Hustla

Suede & Eddy K – 93 ’til ft. UN the Rhyme Hustla & Awall

G Lawrentz – Everett featuring Un the Rhyme Hustla (UN) & 206 A$$a$$in

If you like what you hear just hit up any major streaming platform or do a search for Un on YouTube and you’ll have music for days!

And we’ll end with another recent interview (Nov. 2023) with Un The Rhyme Hustla. DJ Peg has a new interview series, Fresh Out Tha Northwest, and he has been dropping some super dope interviews with individuals involved in the NW hip hop scene! Here is the interview with Un, check it out.

The FarGone consist of three members, RTP (Rich The Projectionist), Apeman & Primate UA (Joshua Yates). I only have information on Primate UA: “Universaly Awake plants his roots in the pacific northwest hip hop scene. One of the founders of the Sense of Soulution hip hop crew along with owner of EqualLibran Productions, This head is pushing the movement in the correct direction. Sighned to Epoch records www.Epoch-records.com in 2005. Member of the MOF crew UA has payed his dues and is looking forward to the release of his LP Collossal Glass due out Summer 2005. Currently collaborating with artists on the west coast to create upcoming mixtape.” I’m not sure if the upcoming mixtape he’s talking about is “The Next Generation Of Heads” but it has all the members of The FarGone and as stated above, UA is the owner of Equalibran Productions.

Fast forward to 2022 and Primate UA is featured on a song from the album, Gettin’ It Out Volume 3 (Rise and Concise), so apparently he’s still active, but there’s still not much on if he released anything solo besides Collossal Glass (if that even happened). If so, it’s on my want list!

The “supporting cast” of The FarGone is Of, Sodcrap, Samcam (Sam Cameron) & KT Gina. You can click on the links and most have Soundclick pages, but that’s about it. In The Hills was released by Epoch Records out of Shoreline, WA. MOP (Map Of France) is an alternative rap group, which is essentially what you’ll get with The FarGone. If anyone knows anything else about these guys or the members, leave a comment!
