Based on YouTube activity it looks like they’re all still doing their thing. If Black Senate has released any more albums I sure don’t know about them. All members went on to put out solo products and numerous features on other NW artists albums. If there’s anything else you’d like to add, leave a comment!

Wes Carnegie better known as Contajus was one of three members belonging to the group Black Senate. This is his one and only solo album I believe. Besides this album and some features there’s not much more I’ve ever been able to find on him. He’s certainly lyrically talented so if you haven’t had a chance to hear him, make sure to check him out. He’s also featured on several other NW albums, here’s a sampling : Consise – Keep On Movin’ On Ft. Aro, Contajus & Krookid / Rise And Consise – Try It ft. Contajus / Rise And Consise – Long Time Ago ft. Contajus & Angela T / Rise And Consise – Story Of A Man ft. Contajus / Rise And Consise – Murderous Murderaz feat. Contajus / Consise – We Are The People ft. Contajus & Aro / Aro – Don’t Worry ft. Consise & Contajus / Consise – Change ft. Contajus.

And if those vids weren’t enough Rise Productions has quite a bit of his music.

From Reverbnation: “Growing up in Brooklyn, New York has put Trama in a position to reach the fans of hip hop with his lyrical punch lines and well put together metaphors in his charming but gangsta-like swag. He has a group called Black Senate, which he is CEO and co founder. He currently has a distribution deal with the Warner Music Group. Trama is working on a solo album called Follow Suite, which is on Black Senate Entertainment. He currently has two mixtapes with Black Senate called The Seattle Project Vol 1 and 2. His latest solo project is called All Gas No Brakes, a mixtape featuring DOA” Apparently, Trama (James Jones) has one more album called, Honer Over Money that he has mentioned a few times and there’s this video but I’m not sure it was ever released. The Follow Suite Mixtape was on Datpiff back in the day, I’m not sure if that was considered the album referenced above or if that album did get released and I’ve just never been able to find it! The group Black Senate also has two other members, his brother D-Lo and Contajus. Finally, Trama also has a song called “I Run It” on a 2009 DJ Pheloneous Mixtape called, Something 2 Drive 2 Vol. 2. He’s also featured on a song called “Freaks Is Out” by northwest artist B-3 (B3 The Shark). Leave a comment if you know anything else about Trama!

Together We Stand (CDS) (Seattle, 2018)

  1. Willie Will, Only1Wizer, Eric Keith, Trama, Jazz Digga, M.A.R., D-Lo, T-Spade, Mike Day & Snap Gotti – Together We Stand

From T-Spade’s ReverbNation page, “Briefly, I am a humble and hard working artist who believes more in the artwork than what monetary returns may come from it. I make music that is “Real” to me and have a deep passion for my work. I’m most interested in spreading my music to the general public with hopes of gaining a larger following. I have no expectations, but only hope that people will give my music an honest ear and judge it in an unbiased manner.

I understand you have a wide variety of listening options when it comes to today’s Hip Hop Music, so I appreciate you lending an honest ear to my music and giving it a chance.

Feel free to add me to your friends/fan list, comment on the music and contact me if there is something you hear and want a copy of. I am also willing, and excited to work with any other artist that takes their music seriously and wants to collaborate!

I have been performing for over 13 years and would like to work with any promoters, venues or club owners etc. to build working relationships and help spread my efforts to a more broad community. I have plenty of videos on youtube.com and would love to get feedback on those as well. Simply visit youtube and search, “T-Spade”.

Thank you for your interest and support!

Besides SeaTac & Back and the star studded single “Together We Stand”, T-Spade has also been featured on LaMar Trenton’s Late Nights, Early Mornings (2010). I was lucky enough to find Together We Stand CDS but if anyone is willing to part with their SeaTac & Back album hit me up! It’s on my want list, unfortunately I only have the mp3s. Also, if this exists, “24-In-A-Day”, T-Spade’s 32-track mixtape which was supposed to be available online early in 2010, I missed out and I’m looking for that one too!

For everyone looking for SeaTac & Back or Together We Stand, both are on all major music streaming platforms so go grab a copy! Before I move on to some music that’s not on the two releases above, I have one question I’m still trying to figure out…. is T-Spade the same Spade from Da Savv or the Spade from Criminal Nation, maybe just going by a different name now?? If you can shed some light on that leave a comment!

Moving on to music, check out “Heaven Hold Me Down”, a favorite, not on his SeaTac & Back album.

T-Spade – Heaven Hold Me Down

It’s always cool when an artist shares more than just music with us, so check this two part interview! Although they’re older you won’t be disappointed.

Finally, I randomly stumbled upon someone who works with T-Spade and it sounds like we have new music on the horizon! What I know so far is you can follow T-Spade on instagram and his new YouTube page. He’s working with Burn Country Music so make sure to check them out too! I’m definitely looking forward to more T-Spade and I’ll share as more information becomes available.

Here’s a preview of some of his new music; good message and good vibes all the way around!
